This monster design is perfect for young kids as it is quick to do and is a pretty simple design.
Step 1 - First of all you need to dip into the green face paint with your sponge. You need to apply the green face paint to the face in the shape of a mask and also down the tip of the nose. You may have to do two coats of paint as the base needs to be smooth and even.
Step 2 - Next you need to get a slightly darker green than the colour you just used and outline the mask shape you just did. If you cant find a darker green then you can just mix a tiny bit of brown in with the green you already have.
Step 3 - Now you need to do the horns. You need to grab a white face paint and then your ready to go. First you need to make out where you want the horns to go. You can do this by dotting the white face where you want them. Make sure they are in the same place either size and are equal spaces apart. Then you can begin. To do the horn shape all you need to know how to do is teardrops, this is fairly straightforward just let the shape of the brush guide you.
Step 4 - The next step you need to tackle is the monster eyebrows. They are fairly simple and in my opinion make the monster look more menacing. Get your brush loaded up with black face paint and start with a vertical line at the beginning of the nose, go down and then arch up through the midpoint of the eyebrow and then curve down.
Step 5 - Now you need to add the monsters nostrils. This is a very quick and simple step, just dip your brush into the black face paint and do two curved lines up from the nostrils.
Step 6 - Lastly to add texture to the monsters face we go in with the dark green we used earlier and put random splodges around the masked area. Make sure that the splodges are varied in size as this will give a better look of texture.
Once these steps are done you will have completed your design.

Face Painting Board Review:
Over the October half term I tried and tested this product. I found that in some ways it was good and in other ways it wasn't. So here is a list of pros and cons so that you can decide if this is the right product for you.
Pros:
- You don't have to use your own face or body.
- You don't have to bug your friends/ family if you want to practice.
- It gives you a rough idea of how your design would look IRL.
- It gives you a rough idea of spacing and how to incorporate that.
- Its easier to do different shapes and tricky designs because you can pick it up and move it around to suit you.
Cons:
- The face paint takes a long time to dry.
- The face paint may look patchy (especially the white).
- The colours appear more transparent, so you need to do more layers.
- The black face paint looks grey, (no matter how many layers you do).
Overall I found that these boards are a good idea, however don't work as well as id like them to.
